Tonight I will attend the last class of my MA program. We've longed for this day, increasingly throughout this semester! I thought I would be relieved. But I'm sad. So sad.
I fear the abrupt completion for many reasons. Some as mundane as not having an excuse to ignore cleaning the house, some as esoteric as not having an anchor for my mind.
With all intense seasons there comes a time of let down... when the adrenaline decreases and the feeling of restlessness pervades. I know this. I do not welcome it.
Tears are just brimming at the surface. I hope I don't do something foolish in all this emotion, like hug tonight's professor whom I hardly know!

An end-of-semester embrace would be fantastic! Give that professor a good story to tell at all the holiday cocktail parties.
I feel for you. The end is bittersweet, surely. Exciting things lie ahead, but there is nothing like being a student.
