Foozball

It's hilarious and painful and absolute fun to watch Ella and her team of 5 year olds play soccer. I've decided its more like watching a game of life-size foozball. The ball is whacked and travels a fair distance as all players alter course and trail after the ball. Then its whacked back the other direction and all the players (usually) follow suit. Game continues as such except for the occasional meltdown because, "Mommy, my shirt got DIRTY!" or "The ball hit me!"

I love that all the parents are side-line coaching their own. We're vital to the game. Without us, Ella would be wrapped up in the goalie net or mid-cart wheel as the team approaches her goal, Loralie would never move, Avery would be going the wrong direction, and Ethan would be on the bench, devastated that his shirt got dirty.

This is what you call a team sport! And I love being a part of her team.
