I've been reading World Vision's website all night. What an amazing organization! Here's a sample article about a Cambodian girl rescued from the brothel, now HIV positive.

Also on World Vision's site are opportunities to sponsor children. You can choose where in the world and even what kind of need. For $20 a month you can sponsor a child in crisis. In addition, they are advocating in congress on several bills. I learned in Terrify No More (Gary Haugen, International Justice Mission) that it was grass roots advocacy campaigns in America that finally got the 2000 Trafficking in World Persons Report passed and it was this bill that finally influenced the Cambodian government to join forces with IJM in raiding the brothels.
Our signature does matter I guess! (This coming from the president of the Right to Life group at NU who joined a bus of nuns in an overnight trip from Chicago to D.C. to march on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Not many results from that freedom demonstration!)
There are also places to send off your signature to congressman in matters of child soldiers and sex tourism.
Check it all out!
